Nask to serve as consultant to board during search
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The president and chief executive officer of Broward Health will retire next year.
Frank Nask announced his decision to the board of directors Wednesday evening.
Nask, who came to Broward Health in 2006 and was named president and CEO two years later, will retire when his contract expires at the end of March.
Board members will spend the next few months conducting a search for his replacement.
Nask has been asked to serve as a consultant to the board to ensure a smooth transition.
"I have been honored to work with the incredibly dedicated and talented team of healthcare professionals throughout the system," Nask said in a statement. "The real key to my success has been our combined commitment to our mission of providing the best healthcare to every member of our community."
Broward Health operates Broward Health Medical Center, Broward Health North, Broward Health Imperial Point, Broward Health Coral Springs and Chris Evert Children's Hospital, in addition to several outpatient and urgent care centers.
