Gunman in Miami CVS robbery sought

Police: Gunman handed worker note, produces black pistol

MIAMI – A gunman who robbed a CVS pharmacy in Miami is currently being sought by the Miami Police Department.

The man entered the CVS drug store at 4801 SW Eighth St. at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Once inside, the man went to the photo processing center and made contact with victim Raul Portugal, police said.

The gunman handed Portugal a note that read, "I have a gun, give me everything you have." Police said the gunman then produced a black pistol from his waistband.

Portugal gave the gunman the money he had in the register and the man fled the store in possible four-door gold Nissan Altima, police said.

Police said the man was last seen wearing a long-sleeve dark blue Old Navy sweater, a blue cap and sunglasses.

Anyone who can identify the gunman or knows about the robbery is asked to call the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit at 305-603-6370.
