3 armed men rob liquor store in Sunrise, police say

Business owner pistol-whipped during robbery, $1,000 taken from register

SUNRISE, Fla. – Police are searching for three men who robbed a liquor store in Sunrise on Friday.

The armed robbery happened at Sunrise Liquors at 6254 W. Oakland Park Blvd.

According to police, three men wearing black sunglasses and black ski masks and armed with semi-automatic handguns stole $1,000 from the cash register.

Police said the business owner was pistol-whipped during a struggle with one of the robbers.

The men, who were all dressed in black hoodies, long pants and were wearing gloves, fled the scene in a red, possible Chrysler Pacifica with extensive damage to the roof and hood.
