Clay's Plays: Breakdown of Dolphins-Chargers

Wow! What a performance by the Fins. They showed complete domination in every aspect of the game as they rolled the Chargers 37-0. Onto the plays!

3. Fins stuff Brian Oliver on 4th down on Chargers' first possession.

This play set the tone for the entire game. Chargers head coach Mike McCoy tried to make a statement by going for it on 4th down in Dolphins territory but Reshad Jones and the Fins' D answered the bell to stuff Oliver and grab the early momentum.

2. Ryan Tannehill finds Charles Clay for first TD

After the Dolphins' defensive stand, it was key for the Fins' O to get 6 to keep the Chargers from getting any momentum. On 3rd and goal, Tannehill found Clay to do just that. Clay had his best game of the year and will be a big added weapon for this offense down the stretch.

1. Picks by Grimes and Jones

I may be cheating here, but let's call this a joint award for the Dolphins' secondary. They dominated a high-flying Chargers attack and gave San Diego zero chance to make a run in this game. Everyone deserves credit here, but we'll single out Grimes for his two picks and Jones for his INT as our top "play."
