Survey finds generation X more likely to wait for Cyber Monday
PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – According to major retailer HH Gregg, millennials are more likely than baby boomers to get excited about Black Friday.
Furthermore, results from about 3,500 shoppers that were surveyed across the U.S. show that more people are ready to shop on Cyber Monday than on Black Friday.
Below are more results of the survey:
73 percent of shoppers find Black Friday frustrating and overwhelming with lines and crowds being top complaints.
Four in 10 millennials say that Black Friday is fun and gives them a rush.
58 percent of generation X plans to shop on Cyber Monday, compared to 56 percent of millennials, and 37 percent of boomers.
And most interesting of all:
Eight percent of shoppers said they would be willing to eat a spider if it meant they could skip to the front of a Black Friday store line.
