Fort Lauderdale High School evacuated after bomb threat

Threat determined to be hoax


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of Fort Lauderdale High School.

Sky 10 was overhead as students congregated outside the school Friday afternoon.

A Broward County schools spokesman said the school was evacuated about 1:30 p.m.

Fort Lauderdale police determined the threat was a hoax and students were allowed back inside.

Police said it was the second such threat this week.
