Argument leads to fatal shooting, Miami police say

Detectives say several people were outside home during shooting

MIAMI – A man in his mid-20s is dead after being shot multiple times outside a home in Miami, police said.

The fatal shooting happened about 1 p.m. Sunday at the home, 1440 NW 69th St.

Detectives said several people were outside the home when the shooting happened.

The shooting victim was confronted by a man who pointed a gun and shot at him, striking him several times, according to Miami police.

It appeared the shooting may have stemmed from an argument between the gunman and the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition. Police said the victim died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
