Junior Normil tells police stabbing victim lucky to be alive
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Junior Normil appeared in Broward County court Monday after he stabbed his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend in Sunrise, police said.
The new couple was on the Broward County Transit bus Sunday when Normil spotted them in the back of the bus, police said.
"The defendant grabbed a large knife out of his backpack, proceeded toward the rear of the bus to confront the alleged victim, the new boyfriend," the arrest report said. "The defendant then stabbed the victim in the neck and shoulder."
The ex-girlfriend started shouting in horror.
Normil told police officers that he "snapped" and added that the victim was lucky to be alive, because his intention was to stab the victim to death.
