During questioning, Daniel Adams admitted that he and Curran drove to the house with their child to kill his parents' 4-year-old Labrador, Daisy, detectives said.

The couple claimed that they killed the dog with an "intravenous needle filled with an unknown medication."

Detectives said Daniel Adams told them that they stole the iPad "to make his parents think someone else had committed the crime."

The couple claimed they killed the dog because they felt it was a threat to their child and to their own dog, WFTS-TV in Tampa reported.
