KEY WEST, Fla. – Two thieves stole more than $6,000 worth of rods and reels Tuesday in the Florida Keys' Stock Island area, police said Thursday.

About 2:40 a.m., the two thieves took the items out of four vessels at the Hurricane Hole Marina, 5130 U.S. 1, near the Key West Naval Station.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies released 54 seconds of fuzzy surveillance video Thursday and were asking the public to help them identify the two thieves.

Detective Sheila Seago, the lead investigator in the case, said she hopes someone will recognize "distinctive clothing" or "the way they walk."
