$50,000 reward offered for Boca Raton postal carrier robbers

Men matching description linked to Palm Tran employee's robbery in Delray Beach

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering up to $50,000 for the arrest and conviction of two men who robbed postal workers in Boca Raton.

Police said two armed men waited in the parking lot for postal carriers to arrive for work early in the morning Feb. 11 at the main post office at 2800 N. Military Trail.

The men got out of their car to rob the first postal carrier, taking a wallet and cellphone. They then entered the post office to rob the second postal employee.

Their cellphones were found near the crime scene, but authorities said nothing else was taken.

Neither of the victims was physically injured.

Soon after, a Palm Tran employee was robbed by two men fitting the same description. She had her purse and cellphone stolen. The phone was found discarded nearby.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the men in the Delray Beach robbery.
