POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy suspended after allegedly stealing prescription medication from a dead man last year is now accused of stealing pornographic material from a couple during a domestic dispute.

Eduardo Mesa was initially arrested in September in connection with the Jan. 7 theft of a man who was killed by a train in Pompano Beach.

Sheriff Scott Israel said the victim's prescription pills were found in Mesa's patrol car.

The most recent allegations involve a domestic violence call on New Year's Day 2014.

According to a BSO report, Michael Bosch called 911 to report that his wife was being abusive and threatening him with a knife. Whitney Bosch was arrested, but Mesa went inside the couple's home, took Michael Bosch's cellphone and stole a memory card containing pornographic images of the couple.

Detectives said they later searched Mesa's BSO-issued computer and found 64 photos and one video of the couple.
