Teen girl struck by car in Tamarac, BSO deputies say

BSO: Teen was not crossing road at crosswalk

TAMARAC, Fla. – A 15-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday as the teen was crossing State Road 7, just north of Commercial Boulevard.

Deputies said the teen was not crossing the road at the crosswalk when she was struck.

Tamarac Fire Rescue took the teen to Broward Health Medical Center with minor injuries to her head, BSO said.

The driver stayed at the scene.
