Man stabbed at Shops at Pembroke Gardens
Witness tells Local 10 News he lost tooth trying to stop fight
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A man was hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight early Monday morning outside the Cigar Bar at the Shops at Pembroke Gardens.
Ronald Parkes, 26, was listed in critical condition at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he underwent surgery.
A witness told Local 10 News he had his tooth knocked out when he tried to stop the fight.
"Somebody got stabbed, and I tried to help," Gabrielle Soto said.
Pembroke Pines police Capt. Al Xiques said officers arrived to find Parkes lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from his chest.
This is the second time in recent months police have been called after a fight near the Cigar Bar. In December, a man was shot after a fight with another man.
Police are reviewing surveillance video in the area.
No arrests have been made.
