Asante Samuels sells massive Southwest Ranches estate

Mansion listed for $9.5 million

SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. – Tucked away in Southwest Ranches is a small enclave of luxury mansions called Landmark Ranch Estates. The residents are predominantly professional athletes, retired athletes and celebrities. Big names like major league pitcher Mike Buehrle, action movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and former all pro cornerback Asante Samuels live there. In fact, the newly retired NFL star is selling his monstrous mansion that includes a pool that is out of this world.

The mansion is listed for a whopping $9.5 million.

"The compound features nine full bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and two powder rooms," Sotheby's International realtor Ben Moss said.

The 18-thousand square foot mansion sits on five acres in Southwest Ranches. It has a gourmet kitchen with a built in espresso maker, a billiards room and a full gym with a sauna.

The mansion is also a smart home, complete with a remote that control's just about everything from the TV's, the music, the pool, the spa, the lights and even the air conditioning. The mansion also has a server room and A/V room filled with racks of electronics to run the digital home.

Besides that, the estate comes with its own beauty spa and hair salon.

The master bedroom has a fireplace and massive walk-in closets. The walk-in shower is just as impressive with nearby a dozen shower heads and a rain shower in the center to make sure whoever comes out is squeaky clean.

Moss said the 140,000-gallon pool that cost nearly a million dollars to build is the feature that blows most people away.

"This pool could put any hotel pool to shame," Moss said. "You have a water slide, a 25-person grotto with two flat screen TV's, a huge party hot tub and above that a party pavilion."
