Miami Gardens police search for man accused of fatally shooting woman

Jessula Goulborne, 22, shot to death on Sunday

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Gardens police are searching for a man wanted in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old woman.

Police believe Tyrone Bivins, 23, is the person who shot and killed Jessula Goulborne Sunday in the area of Northwest 207th Street and 39th Avenue.

Goulborne's mother, Brenda Delvin, told Local 10 News that Bivins is her daughter's ex-boyfriend.

"He left her on the street like a dog like an animal," said Delvin. "He shot her in the face and left her for dead."

Delvin said her daughter was dating Bivins on and off for five years until Goulborne found out that he had a child with another woman.

"I was like, 'No Jessula, you gotta do better than that,'" said Delvin. "I didn't like him. I saw the friends he hung around with. I  didn't approve of it."

Bivins was also arrested in November 2011 in a shooting at a Miami Gardens park that injured four people, including an 11-year-old boy. He was charged with four counts of attempted murder.

Police said Bivins' arrest was due in part to the cooperation of residents in the area. Delvin said she's certain that Bivins is also responsible for her daughter's shooting.

"I know he took my daughter's life," said Delvin. "I know how they going to say he's a suspect, whatever. He killed my daughter! He stalked my daughter!"

Police are asking that anyone with information about Bivins' whereabouts to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
