2 stabbed at Doral apartment complex

Bloody clothes, large knives, swords left in parking lot

DORAL, Fla. – Two men were stabbed Thursday at an apartment complex in Doral.

Sky 10 was above the scene shortly after 3 p.m. as multiple police officers were at the complex at 5201 Geneva Way.

Local 10 News reporter Terrell Forney said large swords and knives were seen in the parking lot.

Bloody clothes were also left at the scene, including pants, shirts and even a bloodied hat.

Doral police said the stabbing was the result of an ongoing dispute.

Police said a man armed with two knives went to the apartment Sunday and attacked another man. The attacker was subdued by other residents, but he got away and was arrested a short distance away.

The attacker returned to the apartment Wednesday, this time armed with a gun, and shot at the man before fleeing the scene, police said.

Officers were assigned to watch the man's apartment Thursday in case the attacker returned. Once the man left for work, so did the officers.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the man returned to his apartment and was once again confronted by the recurring attacker, who stabbed the man, police said. The victim was also armed with a knife and stabbed his attacker, police said.

Both men were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. The attacker was listed in critical condition, while the other man was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It wasn't immediately known why the men were in a dispute.
