Man wearing Publix raincoat robs Pompano Beach bank

Robber gets away with undisclosed amount of money

The FBI is trying to identify this man who robbed a Pompano Beach bank Friday morning.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man wearing a yellow Publix raincoat robbed a Pompano Beach bank Friday morning.

The robbery occurred at a Desjardins branch on Atlantic Boulevard shortly after 11 a.m.

FBI spokesman Jim Marshall said the man entered the bank, pulled out a gun and demanded money from an employee.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

Surveillance photographs showed that the robber was wearing sunglasses and had what appeared to be masking tape over a portion of his face. He was also wearing a bright yellow raincoat with a Publix logo on the back.
