DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for two young men who tried to break into a home in Deerfield Beach last month.

Newly released surveillance video shows one of the men ring the doorbell about 8:45 p.m. June 29.

A couple of minutes later, the second man approaches the home, rings the doorbell and peeks into the glass doors.

Deputies said the burglars then went into the backyard and tried to break the victim's impact-resistant glass doors, but were unsuccessful.

Witnesses confronted the men, who then fled in a PT Cruiser that was being driven by another man, deputies said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the burglars is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
