Man was sleeping on tracks, according to police
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Roads have reopened after a train hit and killed a man early Friday morning in Fort Lauderdale.
A man in his 40s was killed when he was hit by a train early Friday morning near Sunrise Boulevard. Fort Lauderdale police told Local 10 News the man had been sleeping on the tracks just before he was struck.
The train was stopped for several hours as police investigated and blocked the road from Northeast 24th Street to Sunrise Boulevard.
