Sky 10 was above the scene as heavy smoke and flames were coming from the roof and windows of the home.

Miami Department of Fire-Rescue spokesman Capt. Ignatius Carroll said a man who lives in an efficiency at the home was cooking lunch and left the house. He returned to find the place on fire, and tried to extinguish the flames with a garden hose.

Investigators are trying to contact the owners of the home to determine how many people will be displaced by the fire and whether the American Red Cross will need to step in to help.

No injuries were reported.
