Kitten trapped in wall rescued by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue lieutenant

Lt. Lisa Wood feeds cat after helping young feline out of tight spot

DORAL, Fla. – A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue lieutenant rescued a kitten trapped in a wall Tuesday morning.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez said Lt. Lisa Wood saw the kitten trapped between a cement division wall and a brick pillar. She gently helped the cat out of a tight spot.

The kitten was not hurt.

Benitez said Wood fed the cat and then arranged to have the kitten taken to the Humane Society of Broward County, where the feline will likely be adopted.
