TAMARAC, Fla. – A Tamarac post office caught on fire Wednesday morning.

The fire started on the outside of the building in the electrical sign.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, but it did burn through to the attic.

The post office, located in a strip mall at 5425 North State Road 7, was expected to remain closed until inspectors evaluate the extent of the damage.
