The 16-year-old girl told Miramar police that she got into an argument with Lucas because she refused to wash the dishes after she cooked some macaroni and cheese for herself.

According to the police report, Lucas put soap and water in the pot, which still had food in it, and left it on the floor near his daughter's bedroom. She told police that she took the pot and put it on the floor near where Lucas was standing, telling him that she wasn't finished eating.

Lucas then picked up the pot and threw it at her, hitting her in the arm, the report said.

An officer called to the domestic dispute wrote in the report that he could see food on the girl's shirt and arm and "noticed redness and slight bruising" on the arm where the pot hit her. He also wrote that the pot was dented and said he saw food scattered on the floor.
