Police release sketch of man who tried to abduct teen
Boy, 13, escapes after man tried to grab him from inside southwest Miami-Dade home
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police have released a sketch of a man they said tried to abduct a teen from a southwest Miami-Dade County home.
The attempted abduction was reported Friday in the 3900 block of Southwest 156th Avenue.
Miami-Dade police said the man approached a 13-year-old boy and then tried to grab him from inside a home. The boy was able to break free, and the man then ran away.
The man for whom police are looking is believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, has black hair with gray temples and is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a black sleeveless hooded shirt, black basketball shorts and sunglasses with orange lenses.
Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call Miami-Dade police or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
