Horse found dead after being reported stolen in Redlands

Owner Sandy Fobb says sections of fence had been sliced open

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police said a horse that was reported stolen from a property in the Redlands was found dead Monday nearby.

Sandy Fobb, the owner of the horse named Thunder, said she believes the horse was taken from her property sometime between midnight and 7 a.m. Sunday.

"I see them all out here, and they came up to greet me and there was one missing this morning," Fobb said.

Fobb told police she then found two sections of her fence had been sliced open.

"It looked like a truck and a trailer had pulled up there and cut the fence and just loaded him up," she said.

Details on how the horse may have died have not been released.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
