2 workers get stuck on scaffolding in Sunny Isles Beach

Men safely brought down after getting trapped 20 stories high

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla. – Two construction workers got stuck on scaffolding at a Sunny Isles Beach high rise Friday afternoon.

Sky 10 was above the Porsche Design Tower at 186th Street and Collins Avenue about 5:20 p.m. as the men appeared to be trying to figure out a way to get the scaffolding moving.

A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue truck was parked outside the building.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the workers were stuck on the 20th floor and slowing inched the scaffolding down. The men were back safely on the ground just before 5:40 p.m.

The workers told Local 10 News that their lines got tangled.

A Sunny Isles Beach representative said the city had no involvement in the incident but sent a building inspector to the scene.

The Porsche Design Tower project is headed by Dezer Development.
