Selena Miller, 45, arrested on second-degree murder charge

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A woman from North Miami was arrested Sunday after she killed her husband, police said.

According to an arrest report, officers were called to the couple's apartment at 14050 NE Sixth Ave. in response to a deceased man inside the home.

Police said Selena Miller, 45, lived at the one-bedroom apartment with her husband and her grandmother.

When a police officer arrived, he found Miller's husband seated in an office chair. He said the victim had several visible lacerations to his body and a knife at the home was taken as evidence.

According to the report, Miller was found at a relative's home and taken to the North Miami Police Department for questioning.

Detectives have not released her statements, but said that Miller waived her Miranda rights.

Miller's statements to detectives were audio and video recorded.

She was arrested on a second-degree murder charge and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

According to the report, Miller was in a relationship with her husband for seven years and was married to him for four years.
