MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A child died Sunday night after being mauled by a dog in Miami-Dade County.
Family members said Nyjah Espinosa was attacked by a dog just five days shy of her second birthday.

The medical examiner did not confirm the cause of death was from the attack, but police said there is a death investigation.
Officials said the dog was picked up Monday by Animal Services.
A GoFundMe account was created by the family to help with Espinosa's funeral costs.
No other details were immediately released.
