MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A teen suspect in the burglary of a southwest Miami-Dade home went before a judge Tuesday.

Alejandro Armas, 16, was arrested Monday after deputies caught him running from a home that had been ransacked and burglarized while two young girls hid inside the home.

According to a report, when Armas was apprehended he admitted to the burglary.

A second suspect, Wilbert Castillo, 19, was also apprehended after the burglary. Police continue searching for a third assailant, who they described as a white female.

Armas is charged with criminal mischief and grand theft. His defense attorney argued no probable cause.

It's unclear if Armas will be charged as a juvenile or adult.
