PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A Miami woman was arrested Saturday after she left her two children alone for an hour inside a Disney store at a South Florida mall, police said.

Marjorie Cadet, 32, was arrested by Pembroke Pines police on two counts of child neglect.

According to the arrest report, Cadet left her 7- and 10-year-old daughters alone at the Disney store inside the Pembroke Lakes Mall, telling them to stay there until she was done shopping.

A Disney store employee noticed the children running through the store unattended and asked the girls where their parents were. The girls told the employee that they didn't know.

The employee contacted mall security to help find the girls' parents, and the children were taken to the security office.

Police were called and spoke to Cadet, who eventually contacted security. According to the report, Cadet told police that she left the children inside the store because she had to change her infant daughter's diaper and then went to get snacks for the children at the food court. Cadet said she knew that she was away from the girls for an hour.
