Beauchamp was accused of killing Felicia Brown, 25, Jermaine McNeil, 10, and Ju'Tyra Allen, 6, in 2010.

Brown's body was found in a West Palm Beach landfill. Her children's bodies were found stuffed inside luggage in a canal bordering Boca Raton and Delray Beach.

Beauchamp's plea comes just before jury selection in his murder trial was scheduled to begin Monday.

The convicted felon faced a potential death sentence if he went to trial.

Court documents filed in 2011 showed that Beauchamp confessed to killing Brown while in a U.S. Marshals Service cell block awaiting a court appearance in West Palm Beach.

Beauchamp was already serving a 10-year federal prison term for possessing an illegal handgun silencer.
