FBI releases photographs of Key West bank robber

Man showed weapon in bank, fled on bicycle


KEY WEST, Fla. – The FBI released photographs from a bank robbery that happened Monday afternoon in Key West.

Special Agent Michael Leverock said the robbery was reported shortly before 4 p.m. at a Centennial Bank on Whitehead Street.

Leverock said the man walked into the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee. There were no shots fired and nobody was injured during the robbery.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on a bicycle.
