BOCA RATON, Fla. – A second man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Florida Atlantic University student.
According to WPBF, Rodrick Woods, 23, was taken into custody in Miami-Dade County Monday for the first-degree murder of Nick Acosta, 19. Acosta died after being shot multiple times Dec. 29 at the U-Park Apartments, a student living facility in Boca Raton.
Woods' arrest comes nearly two weeks after Boca Raton police arrested Donovan Malik Henry and charged him with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
Henry's phone records revealed he had been in contact with Woods on the day of the shooting. Woods' phone records placed him in the area of the apartments at the time of the murder.
Woods was charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm. He is expected to appear in bond court Tuesday.
