9 arrested on drug, gun, burglary charges at Miami homes

Police investigating whether suspects were legally renting homes

MIAMI – Miami police said nine people were arrested Wednesday and Thursday at two Miami homes in the 200 block of Northwest 32nd Avenue.

Police were called to two homes on that block Thursday at 3 p.m. in reference to people stealing electricity inside the residences. Officers confirmed through Florida Power and Lights that the electricity was being used illegally through a stolen meter box.

Sky 10 was above the homes shortly before 6 p.m. as multiple police officers were parked outside.

Less than 24 hours earlier, police made several arrests at the home on drug, gun possession and burglary charges.

Police are investigating whether the people were legally renting the homes.
