MIAMI – A man was arrested this week after he tried to kidnap a 3-year-old girl at Miami International Airport, police said.
According to an arrest report, the girl had just flown into Miami from Argentina on Tuesday and was in the rental car center with her parents and siblings.

Police said the girl was walking toward a water fountain with her 6-year-old and 7-year-old siblings, and their father was following them.
According to the report, Cuong Nguyen, 42, grabbed the child by her wrist and attempted to leave the building.
Police said the girl was able to free herself from Nguyen's grip and ran toward her mother, while her father flagged down a Miami-Dade police officer, who detained Nguyen for questioning.
Detectives said Nguyen admitted that he attempted to kidnap the girl because he "liked kids" and "thought she was cute."
According to the report, Nguyen said he planned to kiss the child.
Nguyen faces charges of attempted kidnapping and false imprisonment of a child. He is a registered sex offender and was out of jail on bond at the time for a grand theft auto case.
