A South Florida woman was arrested after attempting to rob her ex-boyfriend, deputies said.

Lileana Garcia, 18, was arrested Monday and booked on robbery charges.

During a meeting with the ex-boyfriend in Tamarac, the victim claims he was approached by Garcia and another man, Raphael Demeritte.

Demeritte, 21, punched the victim in the face while Garcia went through his pockets, taking a cellphone and money from a wallet.

The arrest report said that Demeritte yelled "get my gun" to Garcia, at which point the victim ran from the scene and called the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The ex-boyfriend positively identified both Garcia and Demeritte as those that had punched him and took his property.

Demeritte was also charged with robbery and held on $7,500 bond.
