Guns, jewelry, other items stolen during door knock burglaries

4 arrested in connection with at least 8 burglaries in Broward County

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office deputies have recovered dozens of guns, ammunition, electronics, jewelry and other items stolen during a series of home burglaries.

A traffic stop led investigators to the discovery of the stolen items.

Four suspects -- Kenley Durand, Irvens Joseph, brother Kervens Joseph and Andres Sandoval -- were arrested. Investigators believe they are responsible for at least eight burglaries in Broward County and one in Palm Beach County.

Detectives said they found more stolen items inside the suspects' homes.

"We got some weapons off the street," Lt. Chris McCoy said Friday.

Detectives said the suspects would knock on doors and break in if nobody answered.

Authorities are now trying to find the rightful owners of the stolen items.
