CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A man had to be extricated from his car after it crashed into a tree Monday in Coral Springs.

Coral Springs police said the car was traveling west on Sample Road when it was cut off by another car, sending it crashing into a tree.

Firefighters spent about 30 minutes using the Jaws of Life to rescue the driver from the wreckage.

The man was taken to Broward Health North, but he was expected to survive.

Police said the driver of the other car wasn't hurt.
