MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – An injured pelican is recovering at the Pelican Harbor Seaside Station after being rescued by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Monday.

A good Samaritan called the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station after finding the bird, which had a broken wing and had an open wound, near the Port of Miami.

A Miami-Dade fireboat crew then found the pelican and transported it to the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station to receive treatment.
