Man injured in northwest Miami-Dade shooting

Police searching for man missing tooth, driving Ford Taurus

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are searching for a gunman after a man was injured in a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade.

The shooting was reported about 3:45 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Northwest 21st Terrace.

Police said officers arrived at the scene and found a man in his 50s, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Authorities said the man was conscious.

Detectives are searching for a gold Ford Taurus with black rims driven by a black man with a blow-out haircut and who is missing a tooth.

A motive is unknown.
