Masturbating man ransacks car outside Miami home, police say

Homeowner catches crook, orders him to leave property

MIAMI – A man masturbated outside a home in Miami before he ransacked a car in the driveway, Miami police said.

The incident was reported Feb. 21 outside a home on Southwest 28th Road and Seventh Avenue.

Surveillance video shows the man masturbating while he walks up to the front door of the home and looks through the front window.

Miami police spokesman Freddie Cruz said the man broke into the homeowner's black Mercedes and ransacked it.

The homeowner eventually discovered the man and ordered him to leave his property.

"We don't know what his intentions are," Cruz said. "We don't know if he's just a burglar. He obviously has some sort of mental illness."

The peeping Tom was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants.

Several people have come forward and said they recognized the man after the photo was posted on the Local 10 News website, and police said he is unpredictable behavior makes him a danger to society.

Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call Miami police at 305-603-6030 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
