DORAL, Fla. – Police have arrested two people involved in a spree of car burglaries throughout Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade police Detective Daniel Ferrin said officers conducting surveillance spotted a silver Mercedes-Benz that fit the description of a vehicle involved in numerous car burglaries outside a day care at 11211 SW 102nd Ave.

Ferrin said officers saw Tavares Goldman trying to open the door of an SUV.

Police said Goldman quickly changed his mind and got back into the passenger side of the Mercedes-Benz before the car sped off.

Shorty after, police found the vehicle abandoned near Southwest 117th Avenue and Southwest 104th Street, but they were able to catch and arrest Goldman and Shanique Osbourne with the help of some good Samaritans.

Police said Osbourne admitted that she is responsible for seven separate car burglaries throughout Miami-Dade County.
