4 rescued after airboat sinks in Everglades

Victims taken to Holiday Park by Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Four people were rescued Friday after an airboat in which they were riding sank in the Everglades, Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said.

The incident was reported 3 miles west of an area called Four Corners in west Broward.

Jachles said the victims were taken by a private airboat to Holiday Park.

It's unclear what caused the airboat to sink.
