2 children, 1 adult rescued after personal watercraft overturns in Haulover Cut

No injures reported

HAULOVER BEACH, Fla. – A family of three was rescued Sunday in Haulover Cut after their personal watercraft was overturned in strong currents, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Erika Benitez said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's ocean rescue crew was able to get the two children out of the water, while a lifeguard helped the adult, a media release said.

The adult was able to ride the personal watercraft back to shore safely after the incident.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reminds people that children should always wear a fitted personal flotation device at all times while on a personal watercraft.
