Victim shoots at 2 men during robbery, possibly striking 1, police say

Robbers snatch gun away from victim before running away

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A man shot at two men who tried to rob him early Friday while he was getting out of his car at a Pembroke Pines apartment complex, authorities said.

The incident was reported just after 6 a.m. at an apartment complex at 400 Palm Circle Way.

According to police, the victim pulled out a handgun and fired twice in the direction of the robbers, possibly striking one of them.

A struggle ensued and the robbers snatched the victim's gun and other property from him, authorities said.

Police said both men ran away after the robbery and said they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Both robbers are described as black males, one of whom was wearing a red shirt and gray shorts.
