Firefighters extinguish house fire

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Flames sent a family running out of their home in Miami-Dade home on Saturday.

Miami-Dade County firefighters responded to the home near 147th Street and Southwest 104th Court.

"Firefighters made sure everyone was out of the home and quickly began fighting the fire," MDFR spokesperson Erka Benitez said. "The fire was quickly extinguished."

The home suffered mostly frontal damage, but authorities deemed it unsafe. Paramedics checked on three residents for injuries and the Red Cross was helping them with shelter, Benitez said.
