According to an arrest report, Uriah Ottey, 19, pulled out a silver handgun and demanded the victim's cellphone.

In fear for her life, the girl handed over her phone and Ottey got back into his car and drove away, deputies said.

Other deputies who were investigating a previous robbery involving a man with a similar description of Ottey found Ottey's car in the 100 block of Northwest 30th Avenue with the help of a witness, authorities said.

Ottey was taken into custody, and the teen later identified him at the person who had pointed a gun at her.

Detectives said Ottey confessed to the robbery but said that he never had a gun on him.
