3 missing children from Coral Springs found safe

'Nothing further,' police say after children believed to be endangered found


CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Coral Springs police said three missing children who were believed to be in danger have been found safe. 

The Coral Springs Police Department tweeted a photo of the children just after 1:30 a.m. Thursday with the caption: "Missing endangered children found safe. Nothing further."

Gaetano, 10, Domenic, 8, and Nia, 4, were last seen with their father, Mario Ruggiero, near the area of the Festival Flea Market Mall in Pompano Beach about noon Wednesday.

Coral Springs police issued a special alert to those who take public transportation, as Ruggiero did not have a vehicle.

No other information was immediately known.
