2 teens arrested in connection with fatal Fort Lauderdale shooting

14-year-old boys face charges of first-degree murder


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with a fatal shooting on April 19 in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, two 14-year-old boys were arrested after they were identified from surveillance video at the scene of the crime.

Fort Lauderdale police arrived at 2400 NW 22nd St. on April 19 to find a man inside his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. That man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the victim was approached by the teens, and an interaction ensued before the man was shot.

Both teens face charges of first-degree murder.
